Babolat VS Nanotube Drive

Babolat VS Nanotube Drive
Babolat VS Nanotube DriveLength: 27.5 in.
Weight: 9.3 oz.
Ideal Swing – Short: No
Ideal Swing – Medium: Yes
Ideal Swing – Long: No
Maneuverability: Low
Control: Low
Power: High
Comfort: MediumThis is tennis’ version of a rocket launcher. To increase power, Babolat blended ultra-stiff carbon fibers into the throat of the Nanotube Drive frame (so called because of a manufactuaring process that Babolat says utilizes cutting-edge nanotechnology). Add in the oversize head, thick cross section, and head-heavy balance and, well, your opponents better get outta the way. “This racquet has tons of power,” said a 3.5 player. “It felt like I was getting an extra 10 miles per hour on my shots.” The Nanotube isn’t particularly maneuverable (testers drew comparisons to a frying pan) and is suited for players with a medium-length swing who can get around on the ball and let the head-heavy balance work in their favor. Short-swinging novices, by contrast, felt the frame was too cumbersome.

BOTTOM LINE
A game-improvement racquet that’s ideal for baseliners with medium-length strokes.
